Anyone plan attending the Collectible Petroleum Auction on Saturday April 28, 2012 (9:30 AM), Prairie du Chien, WI? Auction being conducted by Sweeney Auction Service. I am interested in one of Standard Crowns, but can not go to the auction.

Thanks, Mark

Buying: Polarine / Red Crown Gasoline Globes and Signs, Early Chevrolet & United Motors Signs, and 1910's through 1940's Gas & Oil Signs.

I was there, I thought everything was really high, Which I guess was good and bad news. lol. The Blue Crown went for I think $1050, The gold one was $500, The milk white crown $300, The red one with some sun fade on one side was $350, The vintage clam shell one was $750 great shape, like new. If this helps.

Large Shell, Sinclair, and the Texaco outdoor signs, went for over $1000 each.
