Is the super a real pump plate or is that a decal over a royal triangle ? Sorry to ask a dump question , but I have never seen a Conoco super pump plate in my life time. If that is real Than that one is way more rare than the diesel.

the "SUPER" is the Real McCoy-
as far as being rarer than the DIESEL,
I've always considered the DIESEL rarer.. cool

I would have to say this is a Fantasy, judging by what the seller is selling and by past other auctions on all the fake door pushes and license plate toppers and porcelain coffee cups. Just looks like pure imitation pure ***** to me. that a lot of people are getting burned on.

The above Royal sign is Fake! As far as the Super, I have only seen two and they are both in collections in California? I have all the rest, including the Diesel, but have not been lucky enough to find a Super? Maybe they were only in California.. I have only had my hands on three Diesel plates, so it too is rare, last one I saw sell brought $1500.

Here is one on a pump. Did they use this version very often on pumps?

Here is a ROYAL with a CONOCO sticker over it. Just kind of wondering why they would cover up the ROYAL.

The MS 80 pump that Conoco used alot,in the late 40's to the early 1950's all had these pump plates on them. The Wayne 80 came out a little later, and did use them too. The larger Green Conoco and Red Royal plates came out around the late 50's to the 60's. So they got changed out to the new version as time went. I think they put the Conoco sticker over the Royal, which was there ethyl gas when they started calling it Premium?
