I was off when we were speculating on how much the Sunset Oil Company porcelain sign would sell for.

I think, it's wishful thinking on the owners part to think they will get a "Buy It Now" for $3500.00.

But, then again; all it takes is one e-Bay bidder.

Never thought of that.....you never know. I am positive that it is not the only one out there as stated by the seller. I am sure many more will be listed for sale now.

Gosh...$3,500 Buy-It-Now price on eBay, and the seller doesn't even provide a photo of the top, showing how neatly (or not) the can was originally opened. I guess he thought a buyer wouldn't care, since this is an opportunity to buy "the only one known to exist"!!

There is a Picture of Top and Bottom. 2 small holes in the top.

So why would it show sold or whatever for $55.00?

Before they ended the auction they most likely edited the price then ended it immediately.

Does that make the fee less?

The can didn't sell on ebay, so there's no final value fee based on the sale price....other listing fees my apply. I'm guessing the $55 was the seller's opening bid amount.

Wonder why the seller changed the price to $55, then ended the auction right after that?

Probably because he was watching us talk about here.
