Listed a pretty decent 76 minuteman porcelain sign on ebay with stop your motor no smoking and minuteman but surprisingly no interest, guess the market is slow

ebay is like any auction. You want to have interest grow so you start low with a reserve. Yes it costs more to use a reserve but human nature has people think "maybe I can buy this for a steal" and then work up. Put the sign back on and start at 50.00 with a reserve. However, that said, these signs don't sell for much more then your starting bid was and, with touchup, my guess is the sign should sell for $150 to $200. good luck..Ray

Looks like this sign is somewhat stained besides the touch-ups. I agree with the other posters...not worth more than $150. IMO
From my experience this particular sign is a victim of the eBay era, where the average selling price has declined. There are also a whole lot of common pump plates that now fetch half of what they did before eBay. Simple supply and demand. Like I always say, eBay is America's garage sale!!
As reviewing the seller's previous failed auctions, many of the items were initially priced at or well beyond top dollar. No surprise here that there were no bids!!
