My buddy called and asked if I could find out about the TEXACO "keyhole" sign. He found a 12 1/2" listed in a book, but this one measures 15 1/2" Thanks, Jim

I think there were a couple of different signs. The one showing is the larger of the examples.

This keyhole is one of the older versions of this design (you usually see them dated around 1935 or so). The older versions (like this one) are typically larger than the newer ones (there must have been a transition to the smaller size in the late 30s).
