I picked up 16 pumps last week and one of them was a Guaranteed Measure either 17 OR 117 there was not any ID on pump.
Now what is unique is the there are two not quite oval shaped cast iron plates on each side and they say:

Guaranteed Measure at top and beow Rochester Pa. The word Guaranteed is above Measure and Rochester is below that.
The base is cast as well as the very top where the conduit scews into. I can provide photos if that would help.
My question is if this pump might be a very early version of the 117 or 77? does it give the pump more value?

Early 17(5 gallon) with cast iron base and conduit cup. One sold on Oldgas last couple of weeks. It is a little more rare, but would hesitate to correlate to more valuable. Most would it was worth a little more.Nice find. Congratulations.

If its glass is 10in. in dia. its a 17, 13.5/8 its a 117.
If its 13.5/8 and does not have postive stops it could be 77.17 top does not have lights, which you didn't mention.
Pictures would help, but according to Jack Sims book doesn't make it worth more.External pump puts it on high end of the worth scale.

I measured the pump from intermost rim or lip the of where the glass would touch the ID of cylinder. It was 12 1/2" there. There are no stops but the pipe does slide up and down, the stops maybe have been taken off.
