I was at the auction in Savona NY and they had some clear Tiolene oil bottles. They had alot of markings but no Pure oil co. The glass had some air bubbles and some lines in it.I stayed away from them but some one paid about $300 for six. If they don't say Pure oil co are they repops?

Yes they are repo!! If it doesn.t say Pure oil CO. stay away They where around a lot up her in maine. I have real one and show friends the Difference. You where smart to leave them alone!!! ALLAN

Ditto. Those repops have been around for a long time. Wish i hadn't bought one .

The embossing is dull or kinda faint on the repops compared to originals. Also there are blue ones I've seen. I see people regularly get burned at auctions on these.

Also look inside the bottle at the opening it is not uniformed shaped it should be nice and open all the way through the neck.
