I have these globes for a couple of years and decided I would sell them. I bought them off of e-bay, the white one was described as a light and the red one was described as original. What do I have here? Where do I measure the base. I can not find any old posts using the search feature so I am looking for some help.
Thanks
Johnnyleduc

Both of your globes appear to be original Standard Oil globes.
The white one is just missing the metal mounting flange.
Both look to be the later series.

Hey Kevin, What is it that would differentate the early/late on the crowns, is there something with the little arrow shapes embossed in the bottom 'band' ???

Yes the earlier crowns were heavier made and had darts around the lower band while the later versions had slashes.

Doesn't the last picture show that. It looks like it has been painted black.

I agree with Scott. That's what it looks like to me as well.
