I Picked this up today. It is about 8' x 3'. When would this been used? It is made of cloth and the blue stripes are a parachute type material. The ford logo and letters are screen printed or an iron on type of transfer. Has air flow slots cut and sewn into the blue as well. Has brass gromets down 1 side and a slot at top & bottom to insert a rod. don't care about value since i doubt it will ever leave my garage Just want to know the age of it. Thanks!

I'm guessing even earlier...at least by a decade!

Parachutes used to be made of silk and later nylon. If you can ID the fabric, it might help you get a date.

I remember getting a Ford hat from the local dealer in about 1973 and it was that same color. A great gift when you buy a used Pinto.

I would say early to mid 70's.

Thanks everyone...

That is what I was thinking. Now I just need to find room to hang it properly.

Sorry for the late response...

That font & color belongs to the same period as these signs:

So, yeah, anywhere from the late 60s to late 80s. But I'd guess 80s, just because I can vaguely remember banners like that at my hometown Ford dealership.
