Since nobody started a thread for Monday I won't let that happen for Tuesday. Everybody have a great day. I have to set some fence posts this afternoon that the wind blew down this winter. Now I'll go have my scotch and go to bed. Mitch

Spent Monday on my last painting in the studio, vacuming (sp?) and cleaning. Today is recovery day (I think I have a dust hangover from that old building) and to continue the search for a new place. I can paint in the unfinished basement, but it's not the same plus too many distractions at home.

Overcast with predictions of T-storms in the pm.

You all have a good day! smile

It looks like we're stuck with the same old weather pattern for a while...sunny with temps in the upper 70's. I guess we all have to suffer in our own way. grin

Yesterday as I was driving past The Sea Ranch airport I noticed what appeared to be a restored Piper Cub sitting in front of a hanger. So, being the curious type, I drove over to the hanger to have a better look. No one was around so I walked into the hanger and spotted a Triumph TR-3 sitting in the corner. (I later found out it was a TR-2) I finally found the owner visiting a friend in a different hanger. It turns out his airplane is a Legend Cub which is a remake of the legendary Piper Cub. It was made five years ago by the American Legend Aircraft Co. http://www.legend.aero/default.asp

We ended up having a great conversation about airplanes, old sports cars and amatuer radio. He spotted my N9UBS call sign on my license plate and he is also a ham operator. The last time he drove his Triumph was when he parked it in the hanger 20 years ago. I told him I had a TR-3 in my youth and that I have 25+ years experience as an auto mechanic and that I would be interested in helping him getting his TR back on the road.

Today is the calm before the storm, the finals storm that is. I start my finals for this semester of college tomorrow. I have two, chemistry and sociology. Then Thursday I have math and environmental science. We weren't supposed to have rain this week, but looking at the forecast now we have atleast a 40% chance every day. I'll take rain over record breaking heat any day. Have a good day everyone! I probably won't be around too much. I hope to go on a small lead today for hopefully some chainsaw and tool signs. The owner owns a strip club! LOL

Afternoon all! Scott, I watched a couple of videos on this plane and I didn't know anyone had done a remake on the cubs. I used to own a 90 Horsepower PA-11 back in the day and it was a phenomenal aircraft! I had skis for it and I swear you could land it anywhere. With a good head wind it didn't take much room either! Aahh memories!
Have a great day on me!!--KEVIN

Cool, mid-50's and cloudy all day. Rain arriving tonight and hanging around until thursday. Still got 6 hours in at work despite the winds. Took a power nap before and woke up to an allergy attack. Watched a 20 minute video on Youtube which distracted my allergy issues quite well. I feel better. Now time for dinner and a walk after! smile

Great videos Dick! Thanks!
Gotta love those tail draggers! I learned to fly in a Cessna 185 if you can believe that! Not the best plane to learn in but if you can fly it, you can pretty well fly any small airplane! It was a great time in my life!
