Who all is retired? I'm having a hard time fitting everything I my schedule lately. This hobby takes up alot of time and is really a full time job. I have 30 years or so till I'm retirement age and can't imagine what it'll be like then!

I don't even want to think how long I have until I'm retired...I don't even have a job yet! Probably atleast 50 years LOL

0. I don't do pumps...yet. I'm only 19 and I don't have a place to put them. I barely have enough room currently for my signs.

I got 20 years to go. Im 38 now.....im hoping that we dont wreck our pension and annuity plan before i can cash in??? Im looking forward to retirement, but will have a lot of fun in the next 20 years too.

I'm retired, but there still not enought time in the day to get everything done. I tell my friends there is no such thing as retirement. You just trade one job you did for another that you like to do better. Richard

I too am retired and I'm just as busy as I've ever been, its just that I have no schedule anymore! That is, except for the Wardens schedule. LOL
The best part about being retired is that you can be as busy as you want to be and really not have to answer to anyone but your own conscience. I'm having a great time!

My retirement is unfortunately of a different sort... Mine was forced upon me by my Doctor's, once I went into "full-blown" heart failure.... Something about being on top of a building or a lighthouse while doing my preliminary work as an Electrical Estimator and having another heart incident... Had everyone just a little jumpy.... LOL

So, I am usually "bored out of my gourd" (not that anyone could tell the difference) and I have to ration my money and activities... But through it all my Collection has "ebbed and flowed" like the tide....

I retired almost 2 years ago after working as a combination technician in a couple car dealership body shops for 42 years. Still very busy, but now I get to make most of the choices of how my time is spent. No longer is somebody demanding that "this goes today at 4 and that goes tomorrow by noon." I volunteer part time in 3 local community service efforts. Just about all of the time spent doing that is very enjoyable.

I spend a good amount of time on Oldgas.com, mostly working on problems and conflicts behind the scenes. I also have servers that host 33 other Web sites. Nearly 100% of the time, they run smoothly. I also design and update sites as requested. Just about finished with updates on GasGlobes.com and PCM Magazine's site. Another brand new petro site is in the works.

Add the normal family, travel and other activities and I actually have no "free time" so I just choose which things I need and want to do and the days fill up quickly.

I have been retired for about 18 years. Agree with the previous posters that the biggest advantage is being able to do what you want when you want although that is not always the case. The big drawback is I have the time to do things but the funds are not there like they were in the past. Still waiting for my son who graduated college in Dec to find a job so I can stop supporting him.

If you look at my eBay account I sell generic stuff that I get at garage sales to make money by flipping on eBay. To answer your questions about where I get my signs, I buy them.....don't you do the same?

I retired last fall, but got a part-time job at the local NAPA store, delivering parts 2-3 days a week, mainly for the insurance, as I'm only 62. As for time, it seems I'm just as busy as when I was working full time, but as Kevin and Jim said, I don't have to answer to anyone except the wife, and I don't have any set schedule.

50 here, 2 years ago I was laid off after 28 years, so I told the corp. world to go bye bye. Now I buy and resell junk for a living. I do what I want, when I want... LOVE IT !!
