Hello Guys, I picked up a gas pump, Wayne 80 low top I believe. I can't find It In either of Jack's books.
The dome Is short and has only one vent on each side. The porcelain price plate says WAYNE on the top of both plates.
So I'm not really sure what model It Is!
I can't seem to get either door open.Any ideas?
Thanks a bunch. (has no ad-plates)

If its a 80, push the button in the middle of the little access door on the side to open the access door. The reach inside and there is a lever for each door, lift the lever and the door should pop open.

Get a flash light. Levers are in the center. Or it could be a Wayne 90 and levers are behind each door.

Levers are down in the center of the pump and they are made of a 3/8 rod type material and they are pointed down. Lift up towards the center of the pump and the door will come loose. After that, you will be able to see how the whole mechanism works!
Use a flashlight if you can't see the levers--they're there!

Use a pry bar to pry the door away from the pump body, don't worry about denting the side column or bending the door. Then, grab the door with both hands and pull REALLY hard until you hear a loud SNAP. The door should be open. Do the same to the other. That's how the guy that owned my 80 opened it, and it took 10 hours of body work to get the door straight and to close again. Yes, he did it to BOTH doors....

The Wayne 80 with the short top was shown in the first book on page 329.
It was one of the 100 pumps that were omitted from the second book by the publisher. I submitted 2000 images, they used 1900. Didn't ask me which 100 to eliminate, they just picked whatever they wanted.
