I don't recall ever seeing one of these before? I would think this is a rare one. 300708829613

I've never seen it either, had it in my watch. I keep looking at the auction trying to pick it apart as a repro or something but it sure looks good to me.... Richard (Pegasus) may have some knowledge of this plate, but the last pic I had of his wall of shields didn't have this version that I recall.
Being that it is dated 1955 it could be a scarce variation at the end of the 5 point shield production possibly(?) since most of the Mobilfuel Diesel shields we see are 1951-53 dated.

I do have one of these and they're definitely hard to find. Notice it's marked "made in USA", which is really rare. I think they were made here for use outside the country....I have a "Mobilgas" pump plate that's marked the same way. Don't have a clue where they may have been used. This one's only the 3rd or 4th one I've seen.

I agree, nice to see you got it Randy. I will have to wait about 35 years until I'm retired to go after that one....or I'd have to sell some things I already own to raise some capital, heaven forbid!
