As many of you know Tokheim acquired a traffic light company during the 1920s. They renamed it "Signaphore Traffic Signals" Tokheim Tank and Pump Co. One of their brochures has a page, which is actually recomendations from the Chief Inspector of the New York Police Department. He was recommending that signs be made to better control traffic. These are the signs he recommended. Remember this is around 1925.
