Here is a Pure Oil Ok'd clean rest rooms sign that I just restored. I sandblasted the frame / box and refinished it, rewired it to updated lamps and wiring, and Polished the plastic lenses with the 3M plastic cleaner/polish. The one problem (as always happens with these older Plastic signs) was the red lettering being faded. I contacted a friend who runs a sign shop and he showed me a new red Translucent decal that he had used to repair red lettering on a Hamm's Beer sign and I had him do these lenses and as you can see, it turned out great. And the Plus is if anyone want's the lenses original, you can peel the lettering off.
Thanks everyone!!! Just wish I had taken a before photo as it was a rusty, dirty mess. Thought I did but must have forgot. This hobby sure is addicting but I love every part of it. There is something new to see and learn everyday and I so love restoring these items and the detail that goe's with it. I also love to find that survivor item that you just have to leave it be as is and wish it could talk about it's life and times.
