I have been offered this 25" Mowhawk porcelain sign, i'm not really up on my signs. I think it's a fake, any thoughts.

...fake, I don't even think it's porcelain...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

This is a low-quality reproduction sign made with enamel paint by a company Signs Past (http://www.signpast.com/CATALOGUE1.html). Sold directly from Sign Past and other dealers for $94.95 each.

Chad, when you say "bad quality reproduction" do you only refer to this sign or to Signpast signs in general?

They were a one man company, but must have had some extra capacity added since their signs are sold from may vendors nowadays.

I taked ti them some years back and asked for a Mobilgas shield. Now they have it started to make it...

Most of the signs I've seen from SIGNS PAST are well done [screened on alum. sheetmetal]. They try to get the colors real close.
I don't belive this sign was done by them.

That is the Mohawk sign made by Signpast...no question about it. How do I know?? I've got about 10 of them on my shelf.
