Just getting done with a rush k visible. I see were the light socket goes but how is it held in place. the original stuff was missing. does it attach to the end of the 1/2" nipple that the top swings on inside the top? There was alot of a cement type material inside which i assume just sealed things up and didn't actually do any more than that.Thnaks in advance everyone.

Zip, I just finished a K model a few months ago and sold it, so this reply is from my poor memory. I removed the old socket and cleaned out all the hard sealing material. There should be a small screw hole in the top of the assembly. I purchased a pre-wired rubber lined light socket, available from any hardware store and inserted it into the assembly. I used a sheet metal screw and screwed it into the top hole into the light socket rubber covering to hold it firmly in place.
