I bought this old Sinclair Battery Charger about 2 years ago and had it restored. The guy was selling the Sure Test Fast Charge Porcelain sign that went on it but I talked him into letting the charger go with it, if I went and picked it up which was about a 10 hr drive. I hated to see it get separated from the charger. It still works and charges also. Sinclair font on the sides was hand painted, no decals. The only other one I have ever come across was on this website http://www.imsdesign.com/gas_pumps.htm which I thought was overpriced. Any input on the value of it would be great. The sign originally had blue over spray on it but I water sanded it with 2000 grit paper and it got all the haze off.

big difference in the before & after pictures-
nice restoration- I'd imagine the sign would
play a big part in value.. cool

Thanks for the compliments, I appreciate it. Does anyone want to take a guess of what it might be worth?

don't know what its 'worth'

again...I always say stuff is worth what somebody will give you!

this is not an offer....once again....this is not an offer...but I would pay 500-750 for it! for whatever that is worth!

The sign is worth 800-1000. Charger 100. Together 12-1500

I got it on eBay and the guy sold it as sign only because the shipping was going to be too much. Sign sold for $600 but it looked rough with the over spray paint on it. I didn't know it was going to clean up as well as it did. I talked the guy into letting me have the charger if I picked it up and since I planned on keeping it, I decided to spend the extra money to restore it.

Smart move. And good buy. I've looked and looked for one. Signs are always missing and those who have the signs know how rare they are.
