Recently I read the forum on the above mentioned sign and was comparing the one I have. Everything seemed to fit as an original except the sign I have has a dark gray or black backing. It has some rust on the back. Can you help me determine whether the sign I have is original or later reproduction?

Best bet for help is to get a picture of your sign posted.

And post your questions with the picture in the General Petroliana section (more will see it there) unless you also want a value, and in that case, post your Q in the Values section.

Welcome!
