Can anyone shed a little light on this sign for me? I have never seen one. It is 12" by 19 1/2" heavy porcelain single sided. Is it a pump plate or just an advertising sign? Approximate year? Approximate value? This one has some chipping at the edges otherwise in good shape.

Thanks,

Jason Howard

Looks suspicious to me just because of the way the edges are.

I had one like it, or maybe mine didnt have the word Special on it. Anyways, I was pretty confident mine was real, possible foreign? Saw one or two others, think I saw one sell for about $350 once. I traded mine off for an HC sign a while back

Thanks for the info guys. I was pretty sure its was real based on the sign itself and the collector it came from but I never thought about it being a foreign sign!

They are definitely Australian and 100% genuine. A buddy of mine brought 6 of these back with him from a vacation in Australia in the mid 90's. We sold 4 of them in the $175-$225 range about 10 years ago.
