Hi All,

This is my first post here and I have a question for the experts.
Several years ago I acquired an old gas pump. It was rusty and lying on it's side. I have since painted it, after first sanding it, then undercoating it with Por 15.
I have the original base which contains the motor. I also have the red neptune clock-face dial and the original nozzle.
What make is this pump and approximately how old is it ?
I am posting a picture of the pump.
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

John

JFOK,
Welcome to oldgas.com, I will make a guess...there are others that can confirm or deny. I say it is a Gilbert & Barker 93.
We'll know before long.

Mick

ps eyebrow looks like an Erie.

WELCOME TO OLDGAS
Without seeing the base, & your location. Looking at the top, I'm going to say MOORE & KLING [Model # unknown] pg 223 bottom center.

Hi,

Thanks for the responses.
There is a Moore and Kling brass plate below the clock-face opening, but I assumed that it was a certification tag not the brand name of the pump. See picture.
BTW...I live on Cape Cod, Mass.

John

Hey Jack Sim,
ANOTHER one for the new book.
The one in current book is a cash recorder.

John, please replace clockface & take another picture showing base. Then submit [email] a picture to Jack Sim.
Thanks,
db

Hi,

I guess sometimes the answer is "under your nose."
Thanks to all involved, especially Dick, for the help.
One more question...what is it's approximate worth ??
Thanks again.

John

P.S. I will replace clockface & take another picture showing base. Need Jack Sim's email to send pic.

I doubt the nozzle is original to the pump as they were replaced because of use. But it could/would be simular.

Would like a picture of the pump, but pictures emailed do not have high enough resulations to reproduce in a printed book. My publisher wants pictures with a minumum of 300 dpi. If your camera shoots at a high resulation, it might work.
