THIS IS A 1.5 GALLON CAN, IT HAS THE ESSO LOGO INVERTED ON ALL 4 SIDES AND EMBOSSED ON TOP. THE WORDS "RESERVE AND PETROL" WERE ADDED AND ARE NOT ORIGINAL. THICK BRASS CAP

Im thinking its a foreign can too, any value left in the can relies on the fact that it is embossed.

I guess I should have mentioned, it is a 6 liter can. You guys are correct that it is foreign. The seller wants $117 for it, to much $ for me as a picker. Still a neat piece though.

Condition is King & this can isn't one step above a peon. I wouldn't pay $117 even as a collector of cans.

I have seen quite a few of these and also the shell version in the UK. They are alway's repainted which I think helps the value.
