This is an odd piece I got today from a good friend Miles Little. Could somebody tell me what era this was used and is it rare? Thanks, Chase

I read it was houston concetrate early early on then in the 30s it was changed to high compression

yea thats more like it....
thats what it was ..... high compression!
typically this guy knows his stuff....and I couldn't figure out why he was wrong!......he wasn't!
but you are right it was Houston Concentrate and then High Compression....

As per the book "A great name in oil, Sinclair through 50 years" copyright 1966 by Sinclair oil corporation, page 36, (third paragraph) Sinclairs first super fuel marketed in 1926 was the famouse Sinclair HC, the initials standing for "Houston Concentrate". It also mentions some advertising men preferred the term "High Compression". So the company says it is Houston Concentrate (After the refinery in Houston Texas that first produced in Jan 1920.)
Company version is good enough for me
