After having the Ol Truck checked by a few gargejunkies, ie; Young's Union, HudsonOilCo & Garage-a-gogo we all decided that I'd be better off going dumpsterdivering for something a little more reliable! But this year I'm like rustedmetal, outofgas & feel like a tulsabug pasngas! So I've decided that Iowa Gas is a NO GO this year. Gonna stay home & enjoy some of the neatoldstuff that I have bought over the years at Iowa Gas. After pulling a warm beer out of the vmc44 [it ain't worked since I bought it] reminiscing on some of the trips I've made over the years.
Here is one from a few years ago [w/ minor editing];
Well guys I'm Rarin to Go, Iowa Gas, RUST COLLECTORS PARADISE ! to find some coololdstuff. Thought about taking the St.Rod but would be cramped & very limited on space. Then thought about the open wheel LC 336, but trunk ain't big enough. Hemibird has a tank full of oldgas & lastgas I put in chevelle smelled like a ciawarrior. Was hoping work would have been steady enough to get a cherry new truck. My 1st thought was nochevys, but after looking at imports, I've changed my mind. U.S.A. made gaspower TRUCKS for me ! OH WELL. I'm oldnfuelish so I'll be driving the roadrelics old Dodge, it runs on puregas & that's a little cheaper than [b]souperhigh grade. This will be it's 7th year. So I better get it checked out at MetroPetro. Inspector66, starts by looking under hood, checks belt, hoses, adds 5quarts of blackteetexacogold, okoil is full, checks the [b]power lube stuff. Then a gearhead crawls underthun to check there, he grabs a hammer. BOO BOOM ! Says the [b]thermactor is fixed. I ask what's it for ? "Oh don't worry, it won't be a problem now!". Almost forgot, he added 2 quartcans of anti-freeze. I was going to Worsham the truck, but seems that every year I do, there's a thunder & lightning Holy Tara gully washer storm before I get to IG. Wife asked what I would like for dinner before I pull out. Let's make it easy, store bought BBQchicken & Radigan salad, sounds good to me. Then maybe have a little bowl of bonjimmi for desert. & top that off with a bit of hotcidr, before getting a good nights rest. Threw the mapper book in, might need it to find a few gasoildudes that live out in the sticks. Can't forget the Folgers, Iowa is Maxwell country. Hope Jack brings the Deep fat fryer, heard it was the ONLY way to cook texaspelican ! Might have to have a few steiners of Beer & coldpizza to kill the taste though! After the Beer is gone, I hope I can Stover to the hotel to sleep it off !
Was thinking of having minuteman hash browns & eggs for Thursday morning breakfast @ IG. BUT Jarvis IS in charge of eggs. 'nuff said, hope someone brings donuts. becool

Come on DB, just think of the wild party we had last year in the speed boat, that was a blast!!!! So now we have to have it in the back yard so what. Just pack up the Dodge and about 30 cans of the fish you eat for snacks and hit the HI way running. We'll have a BBQ here for all the local Old Gassers.
If you don't go your telling the girls. When I made room reservations for IG the girls said cool Dick will be staying with us. Your going to break some little hearts.
Looking for anything JENNEY OIL OR GAS

I've been working on a deal w/ some Colo wives, but was told to wait till Wednesday before showing up at any house in Parker, Aurora, Arvada & Edgewater. Was told I might need to bring a couple of moving vans & help! Have plans to hide the trucks at gaspumpRob's Area 51!
