Hey guys! Just getting started on the 117. I have a question about the cylinder top! This does not look like the top of any 117 that I have seen pics of! Anybody have any idea what this could be? I really want to take it back to the original design with proper globe, conduits and lights! Being new to this any help would be greatly appreciated!

RUSH finished out many FRY's after they were bought out by WAYNE Pump Co.

Here's another question! Any idea what this is? Looks like something that was added at sometime! I am missing the two bottom panels and the one where that pipe comes up out of the pump!

Return pipe & nozzle lockup was done at the factory.
IF your going to collect pumps you need to get Jack Sim's Gas Pump Book.

Agree with DB. I was watching that pump and waiting for it to keep dropping in price. I am in KY also, email me at philmccauley@hotmail.com

Thanks, Phil

Thanks for the comments, but can anyone shed some light on the top of the cylinder pics I posted earlier?!
Thanks,

RUSH made the Yellow casting w/ & w/o light arms. Yours is w/o.
What other questions do you have concerning Top?

Thanks! I am unfamiliar with rush. We really like the look of the conduits and light arms. I guess I need to obtain a Fry top and globe cup to install the conduits and light arms!
Anyone have any pics of the Fry with Rush casting and light arms?

NO, you need a different Yellow casting that is made for the 2 light arms.
Using the RUSH Bonnet casting , there is no place to mount the FRY Globe Cup.
Best old pic I have of RUSH Top. Conduit from pump body is on back side [90 deg from light arms].

IF you convert to a 5gal [less expensive than 10gal glass], you'll have to buy; cylinder, inside piping, selector tubing, selector handle, fingers, Bonnet, Cup, conduits.
BUT the 5 gal #17 DID NOT have light arms like a #117 10gal.

Got to love this group! Now I get it. I must have the rush top & casting with a Fry cylinder base. Anybody have a rush casting with the two light outlets to trade or sell? I can fabricate a conduit from the cylinder base up to the top now that I see how it goes! I see the purpose of the slot cut in the top! Thanks for the picture!

This is what you have & how the conduit should be hooked up. Showing w/ globe holder in open position for EASIER Cleaning of cylinder.
You are also missing a Close Off plate on bottom of Globe Holder.

Dick,
Thanks for the photo! Now I have all the pieces of info and understand how this thing is supposed to be put together! Now just have to find parts! Want to keep all original if possible but would like to have the two light arms! Thanks to all for their help on this thread!!
