truck is a 49 ford f3. a beast to drive!! Thanks for the compliments. I am proud of it now that it is done. Added pics of the new mobilgas globe i have been wishing to obtain. Got it displayed in the garage this morning and wired up. Also adding a few pics of the freedom can for Sam to take a peek at. Cant find out too much info regarding it.

I have a 53 Ford panel. Shoot, it drives better than the 78 Ford F-100 I have too. Steers easier and in many ways , it's less expensive to run. The 53 has a Flathead V- 8 in it . The 78 is a 300 six . Ed Shaver

see ya on the road folks !

Nice F3. However, your hood side moldings are on the wrong sides. The FORD moldings need to switch sides and the upper moldings moved forward to follow the stamping in the sheetmetal on the sides of the hood. The moldings need to point forward at the top. Take a look at the picture below. It'll show you the correct positioning.

By the way, what do you have for wheels? I hope you replaced the stock "widowmakers".

I have 51 and 52 Ford Panel trucks.

The 52 just had the engine rebuilt and we're the process of firing her up again.

The 51 will be next.

I've also had over a dozen parts trucks through my hands in the last several years and have accumulated a wealth of parts that I now sell off from time to time. In addition to the parts, I have several binders full of sales brochures, manuals, service signs/baners, as well as a shelf dedicated to period correct Ford parts and other items.

By the way, you should join the rest of 48-52 Ford truck fans over at FTE, if you haven't so already.
