A while back someone posted a question on how to unstick the pump in their visible pump. I believe that the answer was to pour something in the top of it to soak. Unfortunately I do not remember what it was and my poor searching skills have not found the post.

Any help out there? The pump on my Correct Measure is locked solid.

Anyone with a drawing of the mechanism inside the pump? I have no idea how these things work.

Thanks,

Lee

I have put a gallon can under the suction pipe and poured transmission fluid down the discharge pipe. Just let it soak through until you see fluid coming out the bottom. I work the pump handle back and forth a little and most of the time they break free. Good luck.

Thanks, Phil

Mix Citric Acid [lemon Juice] to Tranny fluid for quicker acting [beware Jack, although it looks good ya CAN'T Drink it!].

Thanks for the scoop. Got her filled up and soaking.

DB - I couldn't find any lemon juice, but had just squeezed a lime into my Corona, so I added a dash of that instead. Can't hurt can it?

Drug stores carry a powdered Citric Acid & grocery stores have fresh lemons & concentrated lemon/lime juice.
Could have used Coke Cola as it's Nasty & Ain't worth drinking even in mixed drinks! [People that but that stuff are buying a name, not because they like the flavor!]
