I just got a blotter that I thought was identical to one I already had, but reversed. After looking at both, I realized that my new blotter says "Wolverine-Empire Refining Co" under the Wolf's Head Oil logo. The other says "Wolverine Lubricants Co Inc NY". I believe the Wolverine-Empire blotter is older, but am wondering if anyone can date both blotters? thanks!

I like the Northumberland one. That one should be in my collection. Northumberland is abuot a 3 min. drive across the Susquehanna river from my house. The business no longer exists, but I like the hometown stuff. Take good care of it and remember me if you ever get tired of it.........Dave.

Will do! I've only seen the blotter one other time, but didn't buy it because I thought it was identical to the one I already had. I'll keep my eyes peeled for another, and let you know if I get a duplicate!

Thanks! There's been so little from around here that has survived the years. There's a prominent Mertz family still in the Norry area and wonder if there is any connetion to the old dealership? Maybe I can find out........Dave.
