One quick question,
How do you run the power cord from inside the pump??

I drill a hole in the base on the reset crank side (the hose side is already pretty busy). Place a rubber grommet in the hole and then feed the cord through the grommet.

Or under backside door, IF there is space.

I'm not sure what pump your doing, but as DB said I've always had good luck running it under the door.

If that wont work I decide where the pump will sit and what direction it will face. Then I will place the hole in the base according to where it will hide the cord and run to the nearest outlet.

I usually make a small notch rather than a hole in the base.
