I am down about a foot. As you can see there is a lot of glass. Right now it looks like 2 of the 4 big signs are shot, the other 2 look good sofar.

I found two Shell signs on top of a septic tank and thought it was great, but it don't even compare to this. It is great that you took all the pictures to share. People who do not collect petro, can't believe what gasoline signs have been used for after there born on date, expired. You are also the envy of all your local bottle collectors. Thanks for sharing. This is one of the coolest things I have seen in quite awhile.

So cool that I dug up my yard with a backhoe. All I found was dirt.

Seriously, great story, thanks for sharing it with everybody and showing so many pictures.

Cool story, cool pics. Gotta be one of the top oldgas stories of the year.
Please give us updated pics of the signs as you get them cleaned up.
Gives new meaning to the saying you picked those signs up "dirt cheap."

Looks like my grandfather drank alot of beer in the 70's. If I dig down another foot or so I'll probably see what he was drinking in the 60's..LOL

Someone had a good sense of humor with the Approved Clean Restroom sign. Awesome story.
