...a couple of things I've picked up recently, but hadn't posted:

...26 x 40"...TEN colors, silk screened on heavy cardboard...textbook poster layout - designed so that your eye follows the poster from the large yellow brand name, down through the product, along the pipe and back to the sales message...I put it in a metal frame...no easel on the back...anyone seen anything like this?

...'The Monarch', made by the Municipal Street Sign Company, Brooklyn, NY - the large, heavy iron & porcelain street sign from the corner of Congress & Bull (let the jokes begin), in Savannah, GA, where the former Hotel Savannah (now the Manger Building) stands...

I bought this Kool-Aire soda dispenser yesterday at a garage sale. I know it's missing the glass tank and stand, but I love the graphic in the front.

Picked up a used JD 316. Only has 600 hours on it. Came with a new battery, oil change and filter, spark plugs and a wax job. Also has a new hydraulic filter for it if I can figure out where it goes. Does anyone have a snow plow for one of these?

Another thumbs up for the street sign!
I'm a Cub Cadet guy and that IH clock is sweet.

I have skied and raced my mountain bike at Mt. Snow Vermont for many years and found this sign at a barn sale hanging in a horse stall and made an offer.

Well the '09 Ram needed an oil change . . . and it rolled over 100K on the 2nd - so I went in and traded it for a new '12 Crew Cab Ram.

And yes, it's got a HEMI. LOL

Later . . .

Picked these up. Don't really see to many of these Hires signs, the onesI see are usually the blue ones.

Both signs are embossed and the Canada Dry is dated 47.

Here is my latest nice non-petro buy. I like Coca-Cola items but only collect nicer quality older items, pre-1960 mostly. I do not want one of those crazy collections of all the new stuff that takes up the whole house and will never be worth anything! I found this 1951 clock in a local antique mall. The tag said 1980's Coke clock, lol! It was good for me the dealer didn't know it was an older item as it was only $65. I thought it was a good deal on a nice old clock.

Thats a good deal on the clock. Its in good shape! The silver one is a bit harder to find than the brown one.

here is my non petro, did some research and gridley ice cream it was a milwaukee based company ,which i think started in or around 1906. dont know the exact age of this neon but i would guess 50s. has a nice art deco look. i put a new back glass on it and a new transformer and it lit up like a christmas tree.

Nice neon Tim. I don't know much about neon signs, but if I saw that in a shop I would guess it was from the very early 1940's or before with that deco font and design. Black, red, and chrome was a standard 1930's color combination.

yes i wanted to say it was earlier than 50s , but i just dont know exactly. amazing the neon and the front glass survived all these years.and just the back glass was broke, but still there.
