I'm starting to restore my second gas pump.
I'm leaning toward Texaco Ethyl,
Does Fire Cheif ad glass Etc. go with Ethyl singage?
I would like to see some pumps with red and white paint.
Should I consider some black paint?
Thanks for any ideas and suggestions.
Butch

YES if you use the FIRE-CHIEF w/ ETHYL Decal, would be a RED & WHITE pump.
SKY CHIEF pumps were SILVER & most pumps have Black bases.

Prior to Sky Chief Texaco called it Fire Chief with Ethyl and did use Silver pumps for those. From a personal perspective, I have never been a fan of the red and white pumps for Texaco. Texaco's standards were for solid colors with a black base. I have seen some pics of old red and white pumps however...

Here is a picture of mine...Since Texaco didn't make metal pump plates (used decals) I had to have some made. They are a magnetic decal. I saw pics of old ad glass and had it made as well.

Hello again, Does a 'decal' listed in after market catalogs mean a sticker? If so, do we stick It on the the door skin and then put clear on It?? Thanks, Butch

Decal usually refers to vinyl decals/stickers unless otherwise stated and are applied on top of paint.

Water transfer decals are sometimes placed on top of the base color and then cleared over.
