Those rust spots look kind of scary lol. Looks like one of those fake signs that are always sold on ebay.

The bright white paint where it chipped might be a clue as to how recently it's been intentionally messed up, and by the looks of it, pretty recently.

All these reasons are why I really really think its a fake. But I can't find another fake to prove it! I usually know better and of course the girlfriend loves it and the owner swears its real blah blah blah. But I don't want a fake sign no matter what! I'd rather have a swift kick in the nuts than a piece of fake *****!

That font looks awfully good, like its been done by a computer, not by hand.

Brandon, I was thinking quite the contrary. The font is awful and it is computer generated. That's why the letters are wider along the bottom edge when compared to the top edge. But all the edges are crisp and the lines are straight.

Agree with everyone! But where did it come from? Any clues? This thing has hardly any shelving as well. I'm not familiar with this sign so I don't know if I can compare it to my gas signs as far as shelving thickness.

Do you have a picture of the back pf the sign? I have seen a willys sign that looked similar (different from the common repops and rooneys though).

Cool...the auction had a pic of the back of the sign (exact back of the willys sign I saw a few months back...it had a sticker on the back that said dallas, tx...possibly these pops were made back in the 80s or so (they are better quality repops than the newer ones...have some decent shelving, etc...If I had a dollar for every 15 dollar repop on ebay someone had beat with a hammer and burried outside for a year I'd be driving a Bentley...wait...make it a new Gotta Have it Green boss 302

Looks like a sign made in the 1980's for or by Weber's in Fort Worth, Tx.
