Haven't seen my old friend TexacoJoe in years but hooked up with him today and talked shop for half the day. We're old hot rod buds and after talking cars for an hour or so, we talked oil cans, signs and pumps for another 2-3 hours. Learned lots about cans today, and was sent home with a couple Red Indian Aviation cans, a 1-Gallon Anti-Freeze can, and a Red Indian Tractor Lubrication Guide from the teens/twenties. It was great catching up and hanging out for a few hours over some cold ones, and was really good to see Joe. smile

Always nice getting re-acquainted with old friends. Especially nice when you both enjoy the same hobbies... (and ice cold beers always makes the conversations that much better)

A nice haul there!

Joe told me he doesn't do the forums anymore and I know he's been pretty busy on his acreage since retiring a few years ago. He was big into collecting when I got to know him 8 years or so ago, but told me he's slowed down since then and only trades a bit with other collectors now. Pretty cool guy and a true gear head to boot! That's a winning combination in my books.
