Did some pickin yesterday and saw this 42" X 36" MKT lines porcelain sign in a dealers booth at an antique mall. When I asked the counter person how much it was, he replied "it's not for sale."
My question to Oldgas is what is the purpose for having the sign there then?

Most likely the sign was either sold to another and hadn't been picked up yet. Or is there to draw interest to the booth Or both reasons.... I'm fairly sure it worked, as I'm pretty sure you checked thoroughly the rest of the booth to make sure there weren't other items that peaked your interest?....

That booth only had 4 items in it, a buffalo's head, some type of spinning wheel, Union Pacific Railroad luggage rack shelf, MKT sign. I asked if it was already sold and it wasn't because it was NFS. Heck yea it caught my attention when I turned the corner.
