Hello,
I'm new to this list, so please excuse any mistakes I may make.
I am looking for information on the value of a "White Crown" gas globe. While visiting my sister this past week her husband showed me a glass gas globe that he purchased at a farm auction. It appears to be in near new condition with the exception of the screw on metal base, which has some rust. pictures can be seen at this web site http://www.customfurniture.net/davesglobe/

I am nearly certain that this is an original, can any of you gentlemen give me an idea on the value.

I just returned from Iowa Gas and a globe dealer was right accross from my tables. I am a good friend of his and we were speaking while he was wrapping a crown that he had just sold. For no reason I happen to ask him the value of a common red crown and he said about $450.00. I then asked him the value of a white crown and he said about $350.00.

that was also the ball park price at the michigan gas show. 300.00 to 400.00

Thanks for the response guys. It gives us some idea on the crowns value.
