Well I've gotten bored again, so....

Anyway I stumbled upon a N Scale Tidewater Oil tanker car on Ebay... So I had to bid on it (not sure why I had to bid, but I did have too...LOL) Very long story short, I won... Once I had 1 car, I had to have atleast 1 more... So now I have a Tidewater, Shell and Union 76 cars on there way...

I know nothing about trains! I had a Lionel set in the mid 50s that was almost bigger than me and was so heavy I couldn't pick up the engine... So it never got played with...

Do any Members, collect these "Oil Company Advertised" tanker cars? If so, any in the N Scale? I am trying to determine if there are numerous different Company logos out there to acquire?

Here is an image from Ebay of the Union 76 car for those wondering what I am rambling on about?

I forgot to add that my Dad had a huge setup at his old house. He could run 3 or 4 trains with about 25 cars on them at the same time. It was sad to see it all get torn out when they sold the house.

Mike, I think I now have enough of them to keep you occupied for at least awhile. So Michelle and I can talk about you.... LOL

So far I have the Following... IMO, they are very realistic looking... They remind me of watching freight trains with my Grandpa as a child...

Tidewater (of course):

Union (that I showed earlier in the post):

Shell:

Mobilgas:

Deep Rock:

Must have a Texaco (to honor my buddy Blacktee):

And a different, Mobil:

An added advantage is how small they are... Always a plus when one has limited space...
