Maybe we'll see it again in a couple weeks?

Yikes! I had that in my watch and deleted it when I thought it was up to a high price at a few hundred. I agree that it is NOS and the best you can find, but I'd much rather have a NOS glass version if I were going bananas on an auction! smile It looks like a classic two or three people bidding war....

Ridiculous. I've been looking for one for awhile and watching this one. Figured I might snipe it at the end but definitely wont be bidding here. Maybe the clown with a glass one for $2500 a month or two ago wasn't so far off? LOL.

Remember---Its EBAY and you don't want to believe everything you see on ebay! It could be a couple of friends bidding it up to the figure they feel it should bring---only to relist it a few weeks later because of a non paying bidder! LOL

After the price passed a reasonable amount, it's only one person bidding several times to run the bid up to another's high bid. LOOKS like those two are in cahoots with one another.

For mature adults you sure are letting your imagination run wild. You are slandering a person and his/her reputation for no reason. Not cool in my books!

NOS is nos. No substitute for NOS. If you have the money, it's your choice how you spend it. He who earns it, decides how he spends it! No one else's business!

Pretty cool little piece. Better use an LED bulb if you light it though or else you might have a pile of melted plastic!

Dave--You're right! It could be completely legit. Its just that when things swing so far out of the norm, it tends to raise a few suspicions! Especially when it has happened before. But you're right, better to leave judgement for after the fact.

Ok two cents worth:A beautiful standard sign desperately in need of an equally nice flame is on eBay at the same time the sign is headed to Florida. Hmmm. Moral of story I should have known getting at a reasonable price was way too good to be true:( maybe next time.

Two bidders took it from $400 to $1,400...I wish I could get that kind of action on one of my eBay auctions...LOL
