EBay is presently full of fantasy/repro/fake so called porcelain signs primarly from India.A lot of them are bid on and purchased,I suppose,by totally unaware buyers or just for the decoration value.Why would people not stop and think,why would an American advertising sign be located in India?The quality of most is very apparent,but then,some warrant closer inspection as to colors,gromment placement,backside,diminsions,font and shelving.Any way the market is becoming over-loaded with these rip-offs that are being passed off as original.Of course,not all buyers are collectors of originals,but decorators.Whatever the case,our hobby will always have the fakes to contend with!
