Anyone else see the episode of "picked off" last nite? The "experts" said the value of this sign was about $450. I was thinking it should be a lot more than that. I think the condition was a lil on the rough side, but it's a pretty rare 2- sided porcelain sign. It looked like 42".

It is a lot more. The only person in the world that would call those 2 guys experts are the experts themselves. Afterall they are antique dealers, you should always stand at attention when they enter a room.

What would you like to give for it. You can go to their web site and bid on it.

Good luck read the fine print,if a bid is placed in the last five minutes of auction, time will be increased five minutes.
It could go on for ever!
Figure out what you willing to pay and hope it holds I guess?

I never heard of Picked Off till now. I'm guessing it's another one of THOSE shows? Haven't had cable in 25 years & I don't appear to be missing anything.

Gotta love that 5 minute extension. It's going to allow the guy with the deepest pockets to bid and rebid until the last few drop out. I'm betting it's going to get into the 2200.00 to 2400.00 range and maybe higher?

I'm so tired of all these expert shows! Doesn't anyone do any real work anymore? Picking was what you did, years ago, to find the stuff. Now everyone thinks it's glamorous? Personally, I have better things to do than watch this dribble. Just me talking. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Well said Paul I do not watch any of those shows either. Just can't get into the hype of them.

Yes I agree its not like cuttng 200 hundred pumps out of the forest under growth. They call it picking, but they are going to dealers, junkers, etc. The picking is done for them. I had to watch one after it come up here, and they kept advertising this auction site. So beng like curious george I pulled it up also. So the history channel is full of this type programs, and country music stars make a living singing pop country, where does it all end.
