A friend of mine just bought eBay Texaco globe item #7225132358. Can you guys tell if this is a legitimate old globe?

Thanks, Jim

The globe is genuine. Read posts about Texaco Globe in the online auctions section of this website.

No, it's pure fake. He needs to withdraw his bid immediately! I'm just kidding, because he outbid me!! I hope it's going to a good home. Dave

Thanks guys. A few days ago when I last perused the online auctions section the Texaco discussion had no yet started...good stuff. I introduced Tim, the guy who won the eBay bid on the globe, to this forum so perhaps he will signup to become a member and do his own research next time.

Jim
