I have gratefully used this site to restore my
one and only gas pump . THANK YOU RON SCOBIE
I restore wooden boats for a living, and a customer , upon picking up his boat saw my pump, and GAVE me this sign. QUESTIONS:

It is double sided - how was this displayed?

2) What YEAR

3) How do I clean it up?

That's a service station sign. Most I believe had a decortive bracket on a pole. Most were marked on the bottom Property of the Indian Refining Company, around 1926-1929 in white lettering.

I'll post a photo of a sign with the original bracket attached when I get to the office in an hour or two. Real nice guy to give you that sign, and obviously because he was impressed with you as well. That speaks measures about you. Nice to hear!

Pump looks great! Can't go wrong with Ron Scobie... If he doesn't have it, he has a good idea where to get it. The sign is a great plus also!!

Try Buffing w/ fine compound, Mothers Wax, Bar Keepers Friend, etc. Start on worst side till ya find what works for you.
