Been a busy week but happy with the results. I didn't plan on keeping the flashing arrow but it's just way too cool when plugged in! Now where to put it..It's made by Superior and stands 6 1/2 ft tall. Any thoughts on what this type of arrow would have been used for...gas station any chance...lol?

Another great time at Iowa Gas. A lot of vendors, nice signs, pumps and other petro for sale, plus I saw a lot of friends from all corners of the country. Made a few buys, missed out on some too.

Got a pair of Sinclair Marine globes. The block lettered Sinclair was used from about 1955-1959. The italics version from probably 1959 to 1970. Both have two lenses on original Capcos

Next are a bunch of smalls, instant thermometer collection. The Molo on the left is porcelain. Also a couple rain gauges, delivery ticket boxes and a credit card machine;

Also got an oil can rack with a few composit cans thrown in;

A 12 inch single sided porcelain Oils sign. I already had a 6 inch version. A few of these just turned up, I was told they were found in a refinery in I believe Tulsa OK. There is also a 30 inch and a 48 inch version, possibly a 16 and 24 also?

Also picked up a repo Productos globe. I never saw an original one but have seen images of them on old map artwork. There is a porcelain keyhole sign similar to this design. I was told a limited number of these lenses were made. They are marked L-11 at the 12 oclock position in the red ring. Makes for a good night light in the den

Picked up a few signs from a gentleman who inherited them from his father-in-law. Initially asked about several he had for sale and staked my claim on the Quaker State; Fisk was still available when I arrived and the only one left, I just couldn't leave it behind after driving all that way.

Here are some of my buys from Iowa Gas.

Ryan brought me this pile down. I was just as excited to get these computers as the Sinclair sign.

Here is proof that you don't need to be the first one at the show to get something good. I could not believe this was still setting in the booth when I saw it. A lot of people should have seen this Sinclair sign before I did. It will look great in my Sinclair collection.

I had Wes Maxwell tell me there was a Wayne 60 in the back of a trailer, I ran over and sure enough it was in there but so was Gas Pump Rob. Here is a classic case where an item gets sold and resold at the same show. Rob bought it and I was the first to tell him if he wanted to make a little money on it I would appreciate the first chance. I brought this one home as a keeper. It truly is a showcase pump, same one Jim posted about. By the way, you will never meet a nicer person in this hobby than Gas Pump Rob. I hope he had a fun trip pickin his way back to SoCal.

Always buying gas pumps and parts.

Tom, great Sinclair sign. I just looked at mine and the matching fertilizer sign, they both have the four holes in them for mounting the sign to the wall. I did not see the sign before you got it or I would own two of them. Glad you ended up with the pump

Added this pump to the backyard setup. I will post the rest of my iowa buys sometime. Special thanks to Craig Osbeck for the yard tractor which is super cool.
