Picked this up yesterday when I went to buy a trailer. You just never know what you will find. I know it is rough but it was right and there's just not any Cities Service stuff to be found in our area. It has a nice original band too! What's it date to?
KJV Psalms 16:11
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Yep, it is a 6 footer and Heavy! Big old heavy hanging ring. This is the only Cities item I have, never found anything over the years around here. There were some stations here in town though. My Dad and some older co-workers remember them.

Nice find Mike! I would have to agree with Cities Service in our area that it's hard to find. The only thing I have ever found is a band for a 48 inch sign like that one. It would look good on the side of my building. We did have a Cities Sevrice station on East Main St. across from Harmanco's.

Rust Stains are gone!! I've worked about as much magic as can be worked on this sign for now. It might make a good shop wall hanger yet!

Never touch up a sign especially a cities sign that sign earned every one of those marks. They are part of its history you gotta love thinking about those ***** kids in there 57 chevy on a friday night when they put that first bullet hole in that thing. Its probly why they took it down and put up a new one. They new which kids it was but thats the mayors kid and he gets away with everything.
