At $35 + postage I'll wait for the Printed Version!

As I understand it, there won't be a printed version. If you want to print a few pages, or the whole thing on your computer printer, you can. The real power is the searchability, to type in a word and find the globes or company history you want. You can use it with your own computer, e-reader or smart phone.

The Gas Globe books that the CD replaces were sold in two volumes at $39.95 per volume.

The economy and the wide use of e-readers like the Kindle have changed the book publishing business. It is doubtful that the print book business will ever get back to near what it was 10 years ago.

I hope they fixed the mistakes that were in the previous pair of books, especially the Canadian North Star globes.

Ordered mine yesterday, It's great that you can take it with you, on your smart phone or Ipad. Many times in the past, out garage saleing or antiquing, and run into a globe, and have to guess value.
