There is a Erie 53 globe (branded Essolene) at auction in Ephrata, Pa. at 9:00 am this morning and i called to bid on it and you have to be there to bid. Someone needs to buy this and sell it to me! LOL Looks like a nice one. Auction zip #1356 Good luck!

This is the third Erie 53 globe (that I`m aware of) to come up for grabs in about the past month. Not bad for a pretty rare and desirable globe.

That was my thoughts too Dave....seems to be a pretty "common" occurrance with them popping up on here lately...makes you go hmmmmmm.....
Would one actually consider these more of a pump part as a "lens holder" than a globe body, being they are brand/model specific? I know it's still basically the same thing, but since these are so large and ornamental and are made for one specific brand, I think of them more along the line of an original part to a pump. It's not like they were mass produced to be placed on any pump like regular round steel bodies.
Not a big deal either way, just something I was wondering lately since they've been showing up with some frequency in the last month.
