I am looking for info on this lamp I found the other day. This is a kerosene lamp that is made of a polished or plated metal. It is marked ABC 19 and reads around the top Den ABC 19 dung dau lua Con so tot nhut. The base has a Shell Oil logo on it and reads Dung den dau lua hien ABC sang nhut. Just wondering who is the maker and where is it from. Whats the story behind this piece? Any value? I have pictures I can email. Thank you

It's from one of the Scandanavian countries, such as Norway, Sweden, Finland, etc. The text is basically telling you to make sure the cap is tight. Whether your spelling is off, or my translator is off, I can't get a perfect translation on it. It's definitely from that neck of the woods though -- all those languages are related.

Hey Wes, is your Swedish based on how the cook in the Muppet show sound ;-)
I can assure you that the spelling on this lamp has nothing to do with my native language. LMAO
have a great day:-)

Claes,

I love the muppet show!
But, no, actually I used InterTran on tranexp.com. Running it through the Scandanavian languages gave a few of the words, but never the whole sentences...

So my guess is anywhere up there besides Sweden then

I thank you all for the help and ideas. I have searched every language translator I can find but have not found a translation yet. I have yet to find any info about this piece at all in fact. Thanks anyway.
