Drove past this sign pole on vacation and had to take a picture. Can anyone identify what brand it was originally for? Is it a Texaco? Thanks, Mike

I believe these were generic and used by multiple brands for 6ft round signs.

I don't know the brands used in these but there is one without a sign on eBay, 160862873364, for $1200. Cheers, Don.

I agree GULF. The "dog bone" sign fit this post. I have one in stock as well. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

It is Gulf. Two single sided porcelain signs. One bolted to each side. Some were on rectangular poles, but most were on a hex pole exactly as pictured.

So you can see the bullet holes when somebody shoots it! I have never seen one personally with the plastic lenses, but it stands to reason that they certianly could have used them on these poles. That one shaded light certianly couldn't have been much illumination.

Thas is definitely a gulf pole. They also made a lollypop pole for the dog ear signs. I have a complete one that I found a few years ago. I may put it up beside my new garage some day (if I ever get it built)!

Maybe it was backlit and that's the light dangling/loose that would have lit the back?

Anyone ever think that it's just a floodlight for the sign a bit out of place?

That would be far too obvious and rational Doc. No fun in that! What would there be to debate for the next couple of hours?

That light looks like its hanging from the electrical connection above. Its probably whats left of the external illumination!
