Most pump companies would let you Special Order a pump in any configuration that was available at the time for a small extra fee. Tidewater had exclusive use of the Wayne 60-T. ie: Special Design Ordered. Even through Wayne had some tie-in w/ Veeder-Root, they could sell a Clock face [866] pump cheaper than a VR. VR charged all companies for using the VR calculating mech. in their pumps.
Wayne 60's & 866's were made; Wide or Narrow Base. W/ or W/O Hips. W/ or W/O Showcase. W/ or W/O Hand Pump. W/ or W/O Hole for Hand Crank of Rotary Pump. Only the Wide had the Fancy Globe Holder.

My 60-A measures 19" from outside of shoulder to outside. Just like my regular wide 60's. The base is around 24" wide. Just like the center section of a regular 60 without the bumps for the hips.

Thanks! So there is a base out there that is for narrow shoulders and frames without hips. That's something I would like to see!

I really can't believe you call my book as being useless just because you own some pumps that are not shown in the book.
I submitted 2000 images to the publisher, they decided to use 1900 of them. Had I gone past 1965 I could have supplied almost 4000 images.
Try accumulating and sorting our all this material and not making a mistake, I can point out a couple of more mistakes that you guys have not found yet.
Back to the book being usless. Back when I was writing the second edition of the book I asked the guys on this website to send me pictures of pumps that were not in the first edition, I received about ten. Most of the guys were waiting to say, I have a pump that isn't in the book, not saying I helped in the writing of the book. I even had a guy sending me an email telling me that a picture he sent me better not be used in the book, because he did not give me permission to use it, fortunatly, I had a better picture than he sent me. Take a look at all the names I listed as helping to write the book, is your name there?
Also, what have you done to better this hobby? I spent over six month sitting at a computer writing the second edition, even longer writing the first book. It got to a point, that my wife was complaining that the only thing she saw for six month was the back of my head.
No one writes a hobby book to make money, I found that out quickly after I wrote the first book, the only thing is does is to increase your, or I should say, my ego. Meaning when I meet a person at one of the shows and they see my name tag they say "Oh, you are he guy who wrote the gas pump book."
I don't regret writing any of the four books that I have written, I am proud of the fact that not only did I enjoy this hobby, but that I did something to make it better.
BTW, if you don't want the book, send it to me, I will refund your money.

Sorry Jack. Wasn't saying the book was useless in a whole. I mean in this situation. Came across this a couple of times. Thanks for writing the book and you did a great job. No one could expect any one person to not miss a pump. Good job and can't wait for a 3rd!

I love the 72r. Would love to have one. Now I'm guessing there isn't a narrow body without hips. Anyone have a cracked narrow base or some hipless sides?

There is a narrow w/o hips. I have a wide base made for w/o hips [base was replaced & pump was re-built w/ hips].

Would you be interested in selling it? And would you have brackets that hold the clock mech?

I had a chance to buy one of those 72Rs back in 1996. It was to funky and bought a Wayne 866 instead.
