Bought a bunch this weekend at the Matthews auction. Here are two that are staying. Cool Diamond tire tin. Thermo sign with a round thermometer attached. Labeled American Art Works.

Awesome original condition, slapped on some lead signs and will put a globe and leave unrestored with guts and all.

For me the last few weeks has been a time to add some glass, metal and paper to my Collection... Quite a few pieces came from Oldgas Members... Thank you all again!!!!!!!!! From Gary Drye: From: bagged1961(sorry I am terrible with names and it isn't in your profile) the blotter; From: Chase (GasolineFiend) the Tydol ad glass; From: Mick (Oldnfuelish) the globe lens.... From Tom (ironheadtom): From Ebay, a "treasure-trove" of goodies: Bronze; Associated Oil Chicken wing plaque: The colors are off in the photo, so here is one of it on the wall: A couple of Veedol Lubrication Guides: And lastly from 1927; A Travel Guide: the back cover:
Looking for Tide Water/ Tide Water-Associated/ Tidewater items

Picked these up last weekend and just got around to getting them out of the trailer today. An unrestored pair of Bennett's in B/A 88 & 98, and an unrestored Wayne 70 in Sky Chief. Also picked up these 5 gallon cans and a few smaller Red Indian cans. Time to slow it down for a bit as the shops filling up too fast. lol

That Wayne 70 looks great as is!!!! ...I wouldn't advise doing anything to the B/A pumps either...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Yeah...I'm thinking hard on whether they should be left alone...but I really dislike the color green unless it $$$. Was going to restore the BA pumps in Gilmore and the Wayne in the same finish as everything around them in my home shop will be completely restored. Plates are matching 1947 dates on the Wayne, and it came with this original wide body globe as well. I'm on the fence about restoring them but trying real hard to sway towards leaving them alone.

...those pumps aren't that rare - but all original ones ARE...I'd leave 'em as is...
...you've been collecting for 6 months, right? give it time...you can always restore them down the road...5 years from now, you might regret repainting them into just another Gilmore pump...
